Two years ago when replacing our heating system we let the lure of an outside contractor's lower installation price override our good judgment regarding on-going service. Two years later, after an incorrectly sized and troubled installation, we've learned the hard way that having a local contractor, with trained Trane service technicians, is worth it's wait in gold. After waiting two weeks for our "out of town" contractor to come service our down system, they finally told us we were two far away for them to service us. A call to TLC produced a technician at our house within 30 minutes! Our advice? Look at the whole package, especially service, before you make your decision!
